About True Wayuu

True Wayuu is rooted in the living textile traditions of the Wayuu people of La Guajira, Colombia.

Each bag and bracelet is woven entirely by hand by Indigenous artisans using techniques passed down through generations. These pieces are not designed for trends or mass production. They are created slowly, with intention, and shaped by the weaver’s own rhythm, memory, and visual language.

True Wayuu exists to support this craft as it is practiced today, honoring its cultural meaning while creating sustainable economic opportunity for the artisans who carry it forward. No two pieces are ever the same, because no two hands or stories are alike.
